Shake It!

Well it's Black Friday and what exactly do you think I'm doing? That's right getting my Christmas shopping done. It's pretty sad that I haven't even started yet, but I've never been one to have it done in a timely fashion. There isn't a lot that I have to give. When you live hundreds of miles away from your family and fly home for Christmas it's hard to spend a lot on gifts... well at least bulky ones that you would have to bring on the plane. This is the first year that I'm going to be mailing gifts back home to be wrapped when I get there. We'll see how that goes...

Anyway off to the card! Here is another card that I made for the November VSN over at SCS
The theme for this card was to make a shaker card of some sort. I had the Mr. Twigster stamp set here still waiting to be put together so I thought what the heck... I'll use that one! Didn't he turn out cute? I think it needs something more but I also like the simpleness of the card.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Um wow! It's been a long time... I know you're probably seeing a trend here right? All my posts seem to start out like that. Well we're going to try something new. I've been busy making projects and just haven't had time to upload them to show them off. I'm really really going to try hard this time to keep this updated... at least once a week with something creative that I've done. I'm not making any promises though ;)

A few weekends ago I participated in my second "Virtual Stamp Night" weekend over on SCS. I LOVE these things! They give me some great ideas and I never know what I'm going to come up with until it's all done. Here was my first creation for the evening. I absolutely love this card! In fact it might be my Christmas card for next year. It was super easy to put together - which is great!

This is just one of the about 10 cards that I made that weekend for the challenge. The challenge for this card was to use some sort of geometric shape as the focal point of the card. I think I did a pretty good job of that... how about you?

Hopefully this won't be the last card from the VSN that you will see on here. But I'll say one thing. I can't wait until the next VSN weekend when I have an excuse to do nothing but play and stamp all weekend! :)
