Vow Renewal Invitations

It's been a busy couple of months here for us. We spent some time in Minnesota getting things ready for our wedding next Summer, saw some friends and family, came home with an uneasy feeling as tragedy had struck a family that I work with and really involved in our community, and now before you know it school is starting soon! I've been back working in my classroom the past few days already trying to make sure that I have things the way I want them before we have our in-service days.

I was asked by a close friend of mine if I would make some invitations for her for her parent's 30th anniversary vow renewal coming up in September. I thought I had an idea in my mind of what I was going to make them look like when I sat down but when I got started they just weren't turning out like I had hoped. Back to the drawing board I went and came up with this!

Isn't it cute? I think so and I really hope they like them.

I used Bordering Blue 12x12 cardstock
to make the base of the card. All the layers are done with More Mustard, Ridinghood Red, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White paper. I used a Texturz Plate from the Background 1 set with my Big Shot to create the embossing on the front. On the inside I used the large stamp from the Brocade Motifs stamp set inked with versamark on the pocket. I also stamped that same stamp on the bottom left corner of the envelopes (not pictured) using More Mustard ink. Other accessories I used are the Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" punch, and the 1 1/4" punch. The invitation and accommodations and rsvp card were all printed on my computer and cut to fit.
