Spring flowers

Today we are having a crafty Saturday at the school I work at. A few ladies bring in their craft of choice and work on their projects. I'm usually not a morning crafter because it takes me a few hours to get the crafty mojo going. Here's the first card I've made this morning. I drew some inspiration from the ColorQ challenge this week.

Supplies
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant
Stamps: Apothecary Art
Accessories: Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die, Labels Collection Framelits Die, Itty Bitty Bunch Pack

Mojo Monday #342

I had time over the long weekend to play around with some challenges. Here is my card for the Mojo Monday challenge.

I will be so sad to see the Delicate Doily stamp set go! I started using this one to replace the Circle Circus stamp set when that retired last year. I love layering and overlapping them like I did on this card. I hope that we will get another circle style stamp set in the new catalog.

Speaking of new catalog, don't forget that the retired lists are out for stamps and accessories and both are while supplies last. Stampin' Up! is also offering free shipping through April 25th so get your goodies before they run out and take advantage of the free shipping offer to save a few dollars.

Retiring products that I used on this card include the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, Delicate Doily Stamp Set, and the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!

Supplies
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo
Paper: Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper

Retro Sketches #111

Today was another off and on rainy day around here. My poor students were so looking forward to recess today but as soon as they got outside it started to hail so they had to come back in. Thankfully the recess aids had a plan to keep them quiet for a while and popped in a video. On the way out after school today one of my students asked me if it was still raining or hailing out. I told him that I didn't know but I would take rain or hail over snow any day! I am so looking forward to warmer weather  and for things to keep getting nicer and greener out. These colors in my card today remind me so much of spring.

I used the sketch from Retro Sketches as inspiration for this card. I think it turned out pretty cute and went together pretty quick. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe
Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, Whisper White

April Showers....

Today I woke up to a nice rain going on. We slept with the bedroom window open last night which was wonderful considering we haven't been able to do that it what seems like forever! It was nice to smell the fresh spring air coming through the window and to hear the rain. I will take rain over snow any day!

Today's card I have for you is for the Dynamic Duos challenge. I just got the Regarding Dahlias stamp set in an order last month and was a little worried that it might be on the retired list. Thankfully this one will be sticking around at least for the next year. My card today is rather simple but sort of elegant in a way. I think it would be perfect for a bridal shower or baby shower thank you, or you could change the sentiment and use it as an invitation for a luncheon or a tea. The possibilities are endless!

Supplies
Stamps: Regarding Dahlias
Ink: Black Stazon, Rich Razzleberry, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder

Retirement Lists

Sometimes saying goodbye can be hard to do. This morning the retirement lists for both accessories and stamps came out from Stampin' Up! As always the accessories are while supplies last but this year Stampin' Up! threw us for a curve ball and stamp sets are also while supplies last! Yikes! Now is the perfect time to get that stamp set that you've had flagged in your catalog and keep putting it on the back burner. Below I have PDF documents that have the items listed on them for retirement but remember it's a while supplies last deal so be sure to head on over to my Stampin' Store to get your items before they're gone. Also enjoy the perks of FREE SHIPPING on all regular orders (sorry expedited shipping does not count) April 21-25. Happy shopping! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

The Paper Players Challenge #192

It's been a while since my last post. Like always life has been busy as usual. The school year will be drawing to a close in a little over a month and I'm looking forward to nicer weather (I'm still trying to see if spring is finally here in Minnesota or if this is just another tease) and also having more time to stamp. Today I sat down with some new goodies that I got after hosting my first workshop in what seems like forever. I decided that I needed some inspiration or direction for my stamping today so I chose to go with The Paper Players. Here is my card for their challenge...

Their challenge was to use some washi tape on a card. I did use some washi tape but also used some stamps to pose as washi tape. Let me know what you think! I love feedback :)

Supplies:

Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Dictionary
Ink: Primrose Petals, Perfect Plum, Gumball Green
Paper: Perfect Plum, Costal Cabana, Whisper White
Accessories: Banners Dies, Gingham Garden Washi Tape, Retro Fresh Washi Tape
