Quick and Easy Hand-Drawn Blooms Card

I just love this line art image from the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set. The lines are so thin and delicate. I made a card today using just the bouquet image. I also made a stepped up version of the card that I show at the end of my video that uses some of the dies from the Artistry Blooms die set.

Catalog CASE: Hand-Drawn Blooms Card

Have you ever looked through our Stampin' Up! Catalog and seen a card that you just loved? Maybe it's the layout, the stamp set, or the colors that catch your eye. This is how I fell in love with the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set and knew I had to have it and everything else that coordinated! Today's card is inspired by the card on page 132 of the catalog. I decided to CASE this card. CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything. It's one way to draw inspiration or jumpstart that stampin' mojo that gets lost sometimes.

#imbringingbirthdaysback

A few weeks ago I was watching a Stampin' Up! video that discussed getting back into the habits of sending handmade cards. I don't know about you but I (when I have the time) am good about making cards but I really stink at remembering to send them out or to actually give them to people. I either think about making a card and sending it but never get around to it until it's way too late or I tend to hoard them and then end up giving bundles away as gifts to family members at Christmas or their birthday. I have wanted to get better at actually sending them out to people. I mean, who doesn't love to get something other than a bill or junk in the mail? Am I right?!? Now, this doesn't just have to be for a birthday but I figured those were easier to start with since the other occasions you may send a card are a little situational: sympathy, thinking of you, get well, holidays etc. Around this same time I said that I would participate in a swap along with a few other demos that live in my area. The theme of the swap was birthdays! Here is my card that I made for the swap.

I made an easel card for my swap and I love how it turned out! I think I like this technique because it lays flat to fit in an envelope but it also can stand up to be displayed while still covering the handwritten message inside. Below is a list of my supplies. All supplies for this card can be purchased at my Stampin' Store.
